In March 2017, I skied at Northstar for the first time and had dinner at Manzanita at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe where I met Executive Chef Mark Jeffers during my chef’s table experience. I knew that I wanted to visit this lovely location during the summer.

I was thrilled by the invitation to be one of the very first to experience the brand new Lake Club. Now the refined elegance of The Ritz-Carlton extends from the treetops of Northstar to the blue waters of Lake Tahoe.

As you can see in my video, my room and all of the food experiences were fantastic. I loved the cabana by the pool with Anita and Randy. My massage with Renata was superb and very relaxing after kayaking on Lake Tahoe.

What will you find at Lake Club? The beautiful building has an indoor area with seating and fireplace as well as a bar. There is a  ground-floor dining terrace and an upper-level dining deck with lakefront views. For the grand opening, we had tables on the lawn which extends all the way to the water’s edge.

There is direct beach access to Lake Tahoe and a private boat pier. I went kayaking but you can also participate in stand-up paddle boarding, lake cruises, wave runners, luxury boat rentals, parasailing, waterskiing, wake surfing, charter fishing, and formula yacht and sailing charters. There will be food including gourmet Bento Boxes and an assortment of a la carte sandwiches, salads and snacks.

I loved my stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe and the Lake Club experience. I also spent a day mountain biking at Northstar as part of my 50 things before I am 50 and lived to tell about it. That story is coming soon! Thank you! Lisa Niver
