Student Travel Writer Competition
April 30-June

This contest is judged by industry insiders and travel writing experts. Students have the chance to grab the attention of travel mags, tourism boards and other travel professionals by sharing their personal travel content. Five finalists will be selected and sent on specific travel assignments in July and August with winner and runner-up announced in September.

Rough Guide’s Travel Writing Competition May 1, 2016 deadline

Get in before it closes! The Rough Guide’s Travel Writing Competition is your chance at getting your piece published in Rough guides and winning $2,800 to spend on a Gap Year trip anywhere in the world! Writers submit a 500 word story in one of three categories: 1.) Close to home 2.) The best place on earth 3.) The best day on earth. Don’t miss out!

Pink Pangea’s Amp Up Your Travel Blog Course

This is a private workshop by Pink Pangea pros, aimed at helping travel bloggers expand their audiences and put their best content online. The workshop lasts three hours long and can be done at the blogger’s convenience.

World Explorers Bureau’s 2016 Summit September 3-4

Meet and hear from some of the greatest advocates of adventure and exploration. Speakers will be sharing their personal insights and stories at the 2016 World Explorer’s Summit in Cardiff.

Transition Abroad’s Expatriate and Work Abroad Writing Contest

There’s still time to enter before the May 15th deadline! All professionals, freelancers and aspiring writers with international work or study experience are encouraged to enter. Inspiring articles with in-depth practical descriptions of moving, living and working abroad are the most likely to win. Prizes: $500, $150 and $100 with runner-ups receiving $50 and publication.

WSGT’s new Travel Writing Award

Starting in May, the WSGT contests will be no more and in their place, a brand new award! The submission period will run from May 4th to July 4th. More to be revealed shortly!
