Sailing to Samui

Video: Sailing to Samui

Traveling to the Thai Islands by boat from Donsak to Koh Samui was so exciting! It had been four years since we were last in the Thai islands and we were ready for great beaches and relaxing.

We planned to go to Koh Samui to meet Alex, Travel Fashion Girl, and the Travel Blogger ThinkTank. Originally we planned to skip Koh Samui thinking it was overdeveloped and not a place we would like. Thank goodness we gave it a chance.

Kinnaree Resort (September 8-15, 2012) on Bangrak Beach is one of the best places we have stayed in the first three months of our South East Asian Adventure! $20 per night with air-conditioning, hot water and mini-fridge. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and our room was a few steps from a stunning white sand beach. Sunsets in Koh Samui are awesome!

Thanks to Alex, Harry, Enda, Steve, Sophie and Rob for all the information about Koh Samui and the travel site inspiration. They took us to their favorite restaurants: Papaya Salad Million and Boi Thai food. We also had a great 49Baht (less than $2) breakfast of cornflakes and yogurt from the 7-11 on the corner.

This movie is from our month stay in Thailand (September 2012) and our year TRIP in South East Asia,
