Taxi, sand and palm trees in Havana Cuba

How the Photo was Taken

I took this on a very inexpensive FujiFilm digital camera with 12x zoom. This picture isn’t altered as I just loved the pop of the yellow cab on the otherwise very empty landscape.

Photo Location

This was taken in Jan 2017 and I remember it like yesterday. We were in a rickety cab held with spit and duct tape (but stronger than any other car I've been in lol) on the way to Playa del Este, a local beach about 30-50 mins outside Havana, depending on the speed of your driver. It took us an hour because of afore-mentioned spit and duct tape factors but in that time, we almost had vertigo from whipping our heads so often to catch all the sights. This one struck me because once you leave the city, it is stark. I don't remember the name of the highway but each side was palm tree after palm tree and you could smell the ocean & the sunlight was so welcome coming from NYC winter. It was what you see: no traffic and just ah-ma-zing landscape.
