Daniela TirantiI took this photo with a Moto G5 (S) Plus which had the screen all broken. I used the phone because the snow killed my real camera two days earlier. I didn’t alter the photo at all.
March 20, Edinburgh. It was late and we were trying to go back to the hotel. We asked a bus driver if there was a stopover near Waverley Station. He said, "Yes, just around the monument." We had no idea what he was talking about. We got off when he told us to, and then I saw this magnificent tower, wonderfully illuminated. "Ah, that's the monument." Being in front of Sir Walter Scott took me back to my lessons at the university, back to the time I didn't think I would travel anywhere. This is the second largest monument dedicated to a writer in the world. I felt tiny next to its endless history.
