How the Photo was Taken

Sony DSLR a99, 70-300mm lens captured at f/4.5, 1/200 SS. Cropped slightly, adjusted contrast, dodge and burn in PhotoShop.

Photo Location

Nunzio stands in a sheep pen on a farm in the Apennine Mountains of Abruzzo, Italy. Taken during a 3 day journey in July 2017, when my teenage daughter and I joined a small group of shepherds, local Italians and few Maltese people to help herd sheep and goats into higher pastures on an age-old practice called Transhumanza that is still carried out in the rural regions of central Italy.
