How the Photo was Taken

I shot this photo causing at 1000ft from a seaplane in the Whitsundays. Shot with my Canon 6D and Lightroom to tweak the brightness of the image. The colours you see are in fact the natural colours, the stunning rich blue are due to fine particles suspended in the water, this sediment reflects light back to the surface to create the dream like blues you see.

Photo Location

1000ft above Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, Queensland, Australia. Taken at around 11:00AM from the window seat of the seaplane that later landed in the Southern Bay of Whitehaven Beach. It really illustrates to me achieving my dream of leaving my old life and beginning a new one with this image always in my mind from day one. Signalling the new beginning.
