Kogel Bay in South Africa

May 9, 2018

How the Photo was Taken

I took this image with a Canon 6D dslr and a sturdy tripod. In order to slow down the shutter speed, I used a 3-stop square neutral density filter. The image has not been altered, except for some color correction / enhancement, removal of dust spots and aligning the horizon a little more straight.

Photo Location

This image was taken about 30 minutes before sunset at Kogel Bay, South Africa. This beach is about an hour's drive from Cape Town, of which 20 kilometers is along Clarens Drive, arguably one of the most scenic coastal routes in South Africa.
