Fishing for Beauty in Wyoming

How the Photo was Taken

This shot was captured with my Sony RX 100ii. No alterations.

Photo Location

Shot high in the Wind River Range, Wyoming one sunny afternoon in August of this year. This location, Cirque of The Towers, is only accessible via an 11 mile hike through rugged mountains. On this backpacking trip, we hiked a little more than 30 miles while exploring the mountains, lakes, and trout that reside in the area and rarely see a fly rod due to the remote location.

About the Author

Ariel C. McGlothin

I'm Ariel, a wildlife and nature photographer in the mountains of western Wyoming. I live off grid in a tiny house (yes, one of those only 170 square feet and on wheels kind). I split my own wood for heat, carry my water by hand, and attempt to grow as much of my own food as I can between the weather and wildlife here. I love capturing the beauty I am surrounded by.
