Interview with Lisa Niver “Fearless After Fifty“
Just shy of her 50th birthday, Lisa Niver moved back in with her parents after leaving a toxic marriage. What felt like rock bottom at the time, was actually the beginning of an incredible journey that would span 102 countries across six continents!
Lisa is an award-winning travel expert and one of the top travel influencers in the world. Her website “We Said Go Travel” ranked third on Rise Global’s top 1,000 Travel Blogs. Her YouTube channel of the same name has over 2 million views! She’s published countless articles in publications like National Geographic, Wired, USA Today, Teen Vogue, and more.
In this episode, she shares with us her adventures and misadventures from her travels all over the world. As a way to challenge herself, Lisa came up with a personal list of fifty new things to try before turning fifty! Lisa started in medical school, left that to become a pre-school teacher (a natural transition 😂), went on to become a kids counselor at Club Med and parlayed all of that to become one of the world’s top travel influencers. She probably wouldn’t be where she is today without coming out the other side of very a difficult marriage and challenging herself to overcome 50 of her biggest fears/challenges before she turned 50.
