My name is Savannah Grace, 22 years old, born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and author of “Sihpromatum – I Grew my Boobs in China”, a fascinating memoir series of a family’s one year turned four year 80+ country, backpacking/overlanding journey around the world.
At 14 I was pulled from the grips of the luxuries I knew and taken away from all familiarity. Against my will and “better judgement” my mom sold, gave away and packed up everything I could call mine, was replaced by a backpack and an unknown path I did not want.
What started off as a miserable road I was being forced to endure, I slowly transformed from the spoiled, rich bitch teenage girl into someone with a better understanding of the world seen now with open eyes.
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the wonderful and challenging experiences of living on-the-go. So many possibilities opened up and lifelong lessons were learned.
For more stories you can sift through our blog with hundreds of posts written on the road starting in 2005. www.watkinstravel.blogspot.com . For more photos from each and every country I have visited (98) and to get to know each of us better, check out my book “Sihpromatum – I Grew My Boobs in China” website, www.sihpromatum.com
Here are just a few samples of what our journeys entailed!
