03 Sep 2016 Part 2: Filled with gratitude for WSGT writers!
We are very lucky at WSGT to have talented individuals participate in our contests and most recently, theTravel Writing Award. To say thanks, we will be featuring five writers each week who are currently displaying the WSGT Travel Badge.
“I chose to participate in the travel writing awards because I’m an aspiring inspirational travel writer and I believe in sharing my journey of faith with others through meaningful travel experiences. I’m attracted to wesaidgotravel because your website promotes this idea and I’m excited to be a part of it!”
Favorite place: Okinawa, Japan for its mixture of Asian culture, tropical temperatures, and breathtaking views.
I love not only to travel, but to inspire more people to get out of their comfort zone and see more of this amazing planet. And Not just see but positively impact the communities we visit by giving back. I love to taste new cuisines and bring back a piece of the destination in my soul! So I was happy to take part in a Travel related project!
Favorite place: Without hesitation La Romana Dominican Republic.
I chose to participate in the award because I love traveling and wanted to share the amazing Taiwanese culture.
Favorite place: I really like relaxing in the wilderness. Hiking near trees and water makes me feel serene. My most recent spot was Rainbow Falls in Mammoth Lakes.
My goals as a writer are first of all to improve my expression and grow as a person. Both support each other. When I started my blog in 2014 I set a goal of posting each week and apart from 1 week in two years I have achieved it. My weekly blog post helps me to reflect on my life as a house sitter and perpetual traveller-what happened this week that most affected me? What has changed within and without? what little and big adventures did I have this week? What did I learn about myself and others?
Favorite place: I love nature and have discovered many places near a beach or in the bush which are just so peaceful and have the most relaxing energy. I found Bruny Island, not far from Hobart to be just such a place.
“We are so excited to participate and get in involved in this contest. We feel it will be an excellent way to unite and share our respective travel passions with other like minded people.”
Favorite place: One of the best stops we have ever traveled to is Bangkok. It is the perfect base for gay travelers in Asia. Silom has one of the best gay scenes, you can get some excellent condo deals in suburbia on Airbnb and the street food culture is magnificent everywhere in the city.
